Our First School Council meeting is on Tuesday, September 30 at 6 pm in our school library. All are welcome!
Here is this week’s Ask Me About
- Families – please say goodbye at the gate. It is difficult for kids when adults come to the classrooms.
- There is recycling for all plastic-coated utensils (whiteboard markers, highlighters, pens and gluesticks)
- Junior Boys Basketball intramurals
- Blue tickets for showing positive character attributes – draw for prizes every week!
- Grade 7 & 8 students have been learning about the residential school system through the Chaney Wenjack story
- Students in grades 4-8 are invited to join the Eco-Team!
- Popcorn sales are starting! selling popcorn the week of October 6. This means, online sales would open on schoolcash next week, Wednesday Oct. 1 until Monday Oct. 6. Pre-ordered popcorn will be delivered to classes on Tuesday to be handed out to students Wednesday. Cash sales will take place Wednesday during second nutrition break out of room 105.

The SCDSB is offering a free 10-week virtual Self-Reg Parenting Course for parents/guardians based on The Shanker Method®. This course explores the connection between stress, energy, and tension, and how these impact children’s behaviour, mood, and learning. Participants will learn to recognize signs of stress in children, develop strategies for self-regulation and co-regulation.
The course runs virtually via Microsoft Teams on Wednesdays from Oct. 1 to Dec. 3, 2025 at 9:30-11 a.m. or 7-8:30 p.m.
